When I read a great book, I don't go on to the next great book, I want to know what else the author has to offer. I read a lot of series and I believe it takes a great author to grow a series. It's not uncommon that once I find such an author, I will read everything they've written. Sometimes the series goes on past it's peak, but you won't find that to be an issue with my recommendations. These are the best of the best, in my book ;-)

Dorothea Benton Frank loves on the Lowcountry!

Mary Alice Monroe took me to the Lowcountry in South Carolina, but Dorothea Benton Frank kept me there with her Lowcountry Tales series. The first one Sullivan's Island started my planning for a South Carolina vacation trip that I still dream about today. The additional books are as follows:

#3 - Isle of Palms
#4 - Shem Creek
#5 - Pawleys Island
#6 - Folly Beach
#7 - Lowcountry Summer
#8 - Return To Sullivan Island
#9 - Bulls Island
Dorothea Benton Frank also has eight additional stand alone books. I have only read Porch Lights but I loved it and plan to get back to the other seven soon!
